Kayleigh's Big Weekend

On Friday night for the first time since she was born, I did not tuck Kayleigh in bed. Lately she's been thinking that she might be getting too old to be tucked in. We told her it was up to her to decide, and to just let us know. So Friday night she put herself in bed. The next morning, I asked her how it felt. She said, "It was OK, but after I got in bed I thought to myself, '... but who's going to turn off my light?'" How cute is that?

Then on Saturday night at 8:30 PM for Earth Hour, we all climbed up on the roof and watched the lights on the Las Vegas strip turn back on. Matt helped Kayleigh the whole way, and we all got to the very top of our roof. It was an amazing view, and Kayleigh felt invisible.

She also got her hair cut. It's still long, but she cut her bangs shorter and put in some layers. She looks so pretty! I will add some pictures to this posting soon! I just had to get the first part documented so I wouldn't forget the date.
